The Announcement of the competitive scholarships from the Czech Republic

The Scholarship Welfare Office at Ain Shams University announces the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector’s announcement of scientific scholarships for a period of one year to collect scientific material and scientific missions to conduct post-doctoral research for a period of five months submitted by the Czech Republic in the fields of engineering, basic sciences, theoretical and applied physics, and the Czech language and literature.

The conditions for applying for the scholarship:

First: To collect the scientific material necessary for the doctorate

• The candidate must be of Egyptian nationality and an assistant to the teaching staff at Egyptian public universities - institutes - bodies - research centers.

• The age of the applicant to collect scientific material for the doctorate should not exceed 35 years on the date of the announcement.

• The applicant must hold a position as an assistant teacher, assistant researcher, or equivalent at one of the Egyptian universities or research centers listed in the scholarship plan.

• The period of service in the employer should not be less than two years.

• The period of registration for a doctoral degree in the country must not exceed three years (when applying for the scholarship).

Second: For scientific missions

• The candidate must be of Egyptian nationality and an assistant to the teaching staff at Egyptian public universities - institutes - authorities - research centers.

• The age should not exceed 40 years for a teacher, 50 years for an assistant professor, and a maximum of 55 years for a professor on the date of the announcement.

• The applicant must hold a position as a teacher, assistant professor, professor, or equivalent at one of the Egyptian universities or research centers listed in the scholarship plan.

Scholarship value:

• The missions shall bear (what no other party shall bear) the value of the grant provided by the Czech side “in accordance with the executive program concluded between the two sides” to be equivalent to what a single member of the mission receives, in addition to round-trip travel tickets, in accordance with the financial regulations of the missions.

Required Documents:

• A data form in Arabic approved by the employer (indicating the date of appointment).

• Two certified copies of the research plan in Arabic and English.

• An original and true copy in English of (bachelor’s certificate - estimation of years of study - master’s certificate) for candidates collecting scientific material.

• An original and true copy in English of the doctoral certificate for scientific mission candidates.

• 3 personal photos - 2 passport photos valid for no less than 3 years.

• A certified statement from the entity sending the applicants to collect the scientific material necessary for the doctorate, stating that the period of registration for the doctorate degree in the country shall not exceed three years.

• A nomination letter from the employer explaining the non-nomination for any other scholarship or mission, as well as the applicant’s failure to obtain any scholarship or scientific mission, as well as evidence of sending security authorities’ opinion poll forms to approve travel.

• A summary of scientific “C.V. “In English approved.

• The original certificate of the candidate’s completion of the academic material and academic assignments for 62 marks in the IBT or 6 marks in the IELTS test (it is not permissible to submit a receipt for the language test and the original certificate is obligated to be submitted when applying for the scholarship).

• Papers submitted by e-mail or by mail are not considered.
