Ain Shams University, through its Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, is organizing a comprehensive development convoy to Fayoum Governorate in partnership with the governorate and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society. The convoy is under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Fayoum; Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The two-day convoy, taking place on April 29th and 30th, will serve the residents of Al-Basounia village in Fayoum Governorate.
Participating in the convoy are the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy, as well as the University's Adult Education Center. The convoy's clinics will offer services in the following specialties: internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, ENT, blood sugar testing, pulmonology, blood pressure measurement, dermatology, and pharmacy. The activities will also include awareness campaigns on energy conservation.
The convoy is coordinated by Prof. Hala Samir Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community and Environmental Affairs.
