The Faculty of Arts obtains Five ISO Certifications

In a new institutional milestone adding to its growing record of successive achievements, the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University has secured a landmark accomplishment by earning five international certifications in quality systems and institutional governance in accordance with global ISO standards. The achievement comes under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, reflecting the faculty’s strategic commitment to institutional excellence and sustainable development.

The certifications have been officially published on the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) platform, with a formal award ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, 15 April 2026, organized by the Faculty of Arts to celebrate this achievement—one that further reinforces its standing as a leading academic institution in implementing quality and governance systems.

The faculty has obtained five distinguished international ISO certifications, and demonstrated its adoption of advanced global institutional management systems, as followed:

First: ISO 30401 – Knowledge Management: This certification focuses on developing an integrated knowledge management system, ensuring documentation of expertise, enhancing knowledge sharing across departments, and improving academic and administrative performance to support innovation and informed decision-making.

Second: ISO 44001 – Collaborative Business Relationships: This certification promotes effective institutional partnerships and collaboration with academic and community stakeholders, contributing to the development of educational programs, research activities, and community service.

Third: ISO 56001 – Innovation Management: This certification aims to strengthen the institutional innovation ecosystem by fostering creativity, supporting academic and research initiatives, and enhancing the Faculty’s capacity to keep pace with global developments in higher education.

Fourth: ISO 37001 – Anti-Bribery Management: This certification reinforces transparency and integrity by establishing clear mechanisms to prevent corruption, thereby strengthening institutional trust and promoting good governance.

Fifth: ISO 37301 – Compliance Management: This certification ensures adherence to legal and regulatory standards, reinforcing institutional policies and achieving operational efficiency and sustainable quality.

These certifications were granted through internationally accredited bodies affiliated with the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), represented by TUV United and its accredited partners. The certifications have been registered on the official IAF CertSearch platform following rigorous auditing and evaluation processes in line with internationally recognized standards.

In this context, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, expressed her deep appreciation to the internationally accredited awarding bodies affiliated with the IAF, represented by TUV United and its partners, commending the comprehensive evaluation and meticulous review processes that led to the Faculty earning these prestigious certifications.

She emphasized that this success would not have been possible without the continued and unwavering support of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, whose commitment to enhancing quality systems and institutional development across the university has played a key role in achieving excellence.

The Dean also extended her sincere thanks to the Faculty’s vice deans, heads of academic departments, faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students, praising the spirit of teamwork that contributed to this distinguished achievement.

She further noted that earning these international certifications represents a new responsibility that requires sustained effort to maintain this advanced level, affirming that the coming phase will witness further institutional development and a deeper integration of quality and innovation culture within the faculty.

Prof. Hanan Kamel also commended the efforts of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Team, highlighting that this achievement is the result of dedicated work and continuous coordination among team members and various Faculty units. The team played a vital role in preparing institutional documentation, enhancing organizational procedures, ensuring compliance with international standards, and coordinating with awarding bodies throughout the evaluation and auditing stages, ultimately contributing to this outstanding institutional success.
