The Faculty of Science obtains accreditation for fourteen new programs

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Mohamed Ragaa Mohamed El-Sotohy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Science has obtained programmatic accreditation for fourteen new academic programs from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), bringing the total number of accredited programs at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, to sixteen. This milestone represents a qualitative achievement that reflects the faculty’s academic excellence and leadership.

The newly accredited programs include:

Biochemistry
Biochemistry and Chemistry

Zoology and Chemistry

Entomology and Chemistry

Microbiology

Microbiology and Chemistry

Geology and Chemistry

Geology and Geophysics

Geophysics

Petroleum Geophysics

Computer Science

Statistics and Computer Science

Chemistry

Applied Chemistry

In addition to the previously accredited programs:

Botany and Chemistry

Applied Biotechnology

In this context, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen praised the outstanding efforts of the faculty’s administration, particularly its distinguished academic figures across generations. He also commended the efforts of the faculty’s leadership, headed by the Dean, the Vice Deans, the Quality Assurance Unit, faculty members, and all staff—for their continuous dedication and hard work, which contributed to the faculty’s achievement of accreditation for more than fourteen credit-hour-based programs. These programs prepare exceptional scientific cadres who contribute to elevating the name of our esteemed university and our beloved nation.

Prof. Mohamed Ragaa El-Sotohy added that obtaining programmatic accreditation for fourteen programs is the result of teamwork and collective dedication toward achieving this strategic goal, which represents a significant step in enhancing the standing of both the Faculty and the University among academic institutions.
