Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein Al-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, an opened an exhibition marketing the products of faculties and units of a special nature at the university, accompanied by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Major General Ahmed Lashin, Secretary-General of the University, Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the deans and deans of the faculties participating in the exhibition and a group of professors, where His Excellency inspected the corridors of the exhibition, praising the diversity of the exhibits, their high quality and their prices. During his inspection tour, he stressed the importance of investing in students’ distinguished ideas, developing them, and presenting them in the form of small projects that serve the community.
His Excellency also announced the establishment of a permanent exhibition on campus to market a number of distinguished Faculty products, adding that the university administration aims to achieve self-sufficiency for its Faculties by investing in the faculties’ various products to serve the university community of all segments.
Also Prof. Ghada Farouk reviewed a number of faculty products, including chemical products “sterilizers and soap” provided by the central laboratory in the Faculty of Science, high-quality office furniture provided by the Faculty of Engineering, and healthy agricultural crops without the use of chemical pesticides produced by the Faculty of Agriculture. The production of the Faculty of Girls was also distinguished by providing different types of cosmetics made from natural materials that nourish the skin.
The Faculty of Specific Education, through the Department of Home Economics, provided a number of healthy hot meals, and the Department of Art Education provided distinguished handicrafts and fine artistic paintings.
Prof. Ghada Farouk emphasized the necessity of marketing these various products within the university community and the local market to contribute to achieving the university’s societal role.
The exhibition, organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, will be held over two consecutive days on the main campus.
