In the Education and Students Board... the university spent 18 million pounds to serve deserving students

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, chaired over the monthly session of the Sector Board, in the presence of the representatives of the faculties for sector affairs and the members of the Board, where the session was held via video conference technology.

It was initiated by Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud who praised the efforts of all workers in the education sector and students, followed by honoring Prof. Dr. Ashraf Rushdi Baghdadi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Education and Student Affairs, for his outstanding achievements in serving the educational process until reaching legal age of retirement.

The session also witnessed the honoring of 10 students of Faculty of Al-Alsun, German Language Department, for their scientific excellence and their success in obtaining scholarships to study at foreign universities. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud held a parental dialogue with the students, where he listened to their steps in obtaining these high-level scholarships. The students praised the support of the university and the faculty and the provision of support, guidance and advice to them tirelessly.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, thanked Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Students, and Prof. Dr. Amani Kamal, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting students to obtain these scholarships, and his Excellency exchanged conversations with the students about the possibilities and opportunities available to them in the labor market. The students confirmed that the graduate of Al-Alsun enjoys a high position and demand and demand to join the labor market, due to the excellence of the scientific and academic level of graduates from Ain Shams University.

In an intervention by Dr. Hisham Azmy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture and a member of the Education Sector Board and Students from Abroad, His Excellency suggested holding seminars and youth meetings with students who received scholarships to study abroad and their young peers and those who went through the experience of studying abroad, in order to allow the exchange of experiences and review the experiences of young students abroad, benefiting from their life experiences, their coexistence with new societies, how they were able to mix with different cultures, and how they dealt with others, which enriches these experiences and provides models and examples to follow.

The board also witnessed the honoring of 10 distinguished students for their excellence in various competitions, including the Holy Quran Competition, Ibdaa 9 Festival and the International Drum Festival.

         
   
         
   
   

Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud stressed the university's continued interest in supporting the academic side and the activities and participation in various cultural, intellectual, artistic and sports events, in order to refine the students' personality and provide them with a suitable environment for various life experiences that help them face post-university life.

Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, said that the university provided full support and generous budgets to encourage students and contract with experienced trainers who specialize in various fields to increase the students’ talents and raise their level, which was reflected in the excellence of their participation in various local and international events and forums.

He pointed out that this upgrading of the level places a great responsibility on the university and the students for the continuity and continuity of the path of success.

The board reviewed Ain Shams University's winning of the UNESCO Literacy Prize (Confucius) for the year 2021 in partnership with the General Authority for Adult Education. Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saoud confirmed that the decision taken by the University Board headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, a year and a half ago, to popularize the literacy project in partnership with the university’s youth students, to obligatory, to eradicate the illiteracy of their countrymen. 7 thousand years, it is not appropriate for her people to suffer from illiteracy.

Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud stressed that the success of university students in eradicating the illiteracy of 2,090,000 citizens and enabling them to obtain a literacy certificate confirms the awareness of the majority of young people of the importance of their role and their awareness of their national duty, and that the nation has duties on them just as it fulfills all their rights.

He affirmed the university's continuation of this national duty to achieve more achievements for the benefit of the dear nation.

At the conclusion of the session, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud said that the university received donations from various parties, as well as maximizing the contributions of the social solidarity fund for university students in large amounts that will contribute to strengthening the university’s ability to serve its students who are eligible for support, pointing out that the university's spending in the previous fiscal year on students benefiting from the Social Solidarity Fund exceeded 18 million pounds.
