Students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences develop an innovative proxy AI solution for the financial sector and win first place
As part of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences’ commitment to strengthening partnerships with industry, aligning education with labor market demands, and providing students with opportunities to gain practical experience through specialized training programs and competitions, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rasha Mohamed Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computersand Information Sciences, and under the supervision of Dr. Yasmine Afifi, Director of the Student Activities Unit, student Youssef Fayek and his team won first place in a training program organized by Finaira. This achievement came after they presented an innovative project in the field of proxy AI for the financial sector, amidst strong competition from participating teams.

During the program, the team presented Relationship Manager Copilot, an intelligent assistant that leverages agentic AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to support relationship managers in financial institutions. The system provides rapid access to customer information, financial data analysis, intelligent recommendations, meeting summaries, and answers to inquiries using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques while preserving the context of the conversation. This contributes to improved service quality and faster decision-making.
The project also utilizes a multi-agent architecture, where a group of specialized agents collaborates to analyze data, retrieve information, and generate recommendations, delivering an intelligent and scalable experience that meets the needs of modern financial environments.

The project was commended by the judging panel for its integration of artificial intelligence, software engineering, and fintech solutions, as well as its ability to address real-world challenges within the banking sector, which contributed to the team winning first place.
This achievement underscores the outstanding academic and technical skills of the students at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University. It also highlights the faculty’s success in preparing graduates capable of utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies to develop practical and innovative solutions that meet the needs of various sectors. This strengthens the faculty’s role in supporting innovation, fostering collaboration with industry, and producing graduates who can compete in the local and international labor markets.
