The President of Ain Shams University and university leaders joined over 1,500 students for a Ramadan Iftar hosted by the Student Union, the Students for Egypt family, and international students

In a warm and welcoming Ramadan atmosphere, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, joined over 1,500 students for a Ramadan Iftar organized by the University Student Union, the Students for Egypt family, and international students. The event was held at the University Guest House, under the auspices of the Education and Student Affairs sector.

The event was also attended by Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Mohamed Salehien, Vice President of Ain Shams National University.

The event was organized and coordinated by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

The distinguished celebration was also attended by a select group of presidents and vice presidents of private and national universities, as well as former presidents and vice presidents of Ain Shams University. Also members of the Ain Shams University Board of Trustees, several deans and vice deans, the Director of the International Students Office, the Head of the Central Administration for the University President's Sector, Dr. Samar Ragab, head of the Students for Egypt family, and other family leaders. In addition, a number of media representatives, center directors, general managers, administrative leaders, student welfare officials, and university staff attended the celebration.

The event took place amidst a large student turnout, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of Ain Shams University. The atmosphere was particularly festive during Ramadan, embodying the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood among the students and underscoring the commitment of the Education and Student Affairs sector to providing a comprehensive university experience that combines academic excellence with community engagement.

During the event, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen expressed his delight at sharing these Ramadan traditions with the students, emphasizing the university's ongoing commitment to supporting activities and events that bring students together and foster a sense of community on campus.

He added that such gatherings represent an important opportunity to strengthen dialogue and direct communication between the university administration and students, and to listen to their opinions and suggestions, which contributes to the development of university life.

For his part, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali affirmed that the Ramadan Iftar comes within the framework of the Education and Student Affairs sector's commitment to supporting student activities with a social and cultural dimension, and to creating an environment that fosters effective communication among diverse student groups. This contributes to building bridges of understanding and integration between Egyptian and international students, and to strengthening the role of student unions and families as active partners in enriching university life. He commended the efforts of the "Students for Egypt" family and its active role in student events, and also praised the efforts of all those involved in the Education and Student Affairs sector.

The students, in turn, expressed their happiness with this initiative, which provided them with an opportunity to meet with university leaders in a friendly atmosphere reflecting the spirit of the holy month.

Following the Iftar, the attendees enjoyed a special Ramadan evening that included diverse artistic performances, which were met with widespread enthusiasm from the students and contributed to creating a joyful and festive atmosphere at the Iftar gathering.

The evening featured a performance by the Harmony Arabic Choir, which presented a selection of religious chants, along with a special show by the university's choir, which performed a medley of popular Ramadan advertisements, a Sufi medley, and a nostalgia-themed Ramadan medley. The Mawlawi Ensemble also presented a spiritual performance that captivated the audience.

The events also included artistic performances by the Ain Shams University Folk Arts Troupe, which presented a series of tableaux to enthusiastic student participation.

The celebration also featured Tanoura dance performances and a games area, all within a joyful Ramadan atmosphere.
