Job Vacancy Announcement for Director of the Students Disability Service Centre

Within the framework of the Education and Students Sector’s keenness to consolidate the principle of equal opportunities within the university community and develop comprehensive inclusion policies for students with disabilities, ensuring their full right to education and effective participation in various aspects of university life, the Students Disability Service Centre plays a pivotal role in supporting and empowering these students and providing an inclusive educational environment by making academic facilities available within colleges and providing support services, training and rehabilitation programs that contribute to developing the capabilities of students with disabilities, enhancing their independence, and enabling them to fully integrate into the educational process and participate positively in various university activities, thus contributing to achieving educational justice and building a more inclusive and equitable university community.

From this standpoint, and in an effort by the Education and Students Sector to continue developing the services provided through the Students Disability Service Centre, in line with best practices in the field of supporting and empowering students with disabilities within higher education institutions, and to work on supporting the efficiency of the programs and services provided to them, and expanding the scope of academic and technical facilities in a way that contributes to improving the quality of services and achieving the highest levels of benefit for students, the Education and Students Sector is honored to announce the opening of applications for the position of Director of the Students Disability Service Centre, with the aim of developing the institutional role of the center and its work mechanisms in a way that ensures the provision of more effective and sustainable services for students with disabilities, and supporting the university’s efforts in achieving an inclusive educational environment based on the principles of justice and equal opportunities.

Job Applying Requirements:

  • The applicant must be a faculty staff at Ain Shams University.
  • The applicant must have experience in the field of disabilities and in providing support and empowerment services for people with disabilities.
  • The applicant must have a thorough understanding of the laws and regulations governing the rights of people with disabilities in the country, as well as the policies and legislation related to their inclusion in higher education institutions.
  • The applicant must submit a comprehensive development plan for improving the services offered by the Students Disability Service Centre. This plan should include mechanisms for enhancing the quality of services provided and promoting the inclusion of students within the university environment.
  • The applicant must prepare a presentation outlining the development plan and present it to the interview committee.

Applying Deadline:

From March 14, 2026, to March 25, 2026.

All applicants will be interviewed by the committee formed to select the center’s director. Applicants will present their development plan in the form of a presentation on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Applying Process:

Applicants must submit an official employment status statement, a curriculum vitae, and a proposed development plan for the center to the office of the Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs within the specified application period.
