Announcement of the Dr. Mohamed Shawky El-Fangary Award 2027

Ain Shams University, based on a directive from the Head of the State Lawsuits Authority, announces the opening of applications for the Counselor Dr. Mohamed Shawky El-Fangary Award, under the auspices of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research. This award aims to support rigorous scientific research and encourage serious studies with societal and intellectual dimensions.

Research should be submitted on one of the following two topics:

1. Islamic Da'wah and Thought: Between Authentic and Imported Traditions

2. Crimes Against Children: Between Islamic Law and Positive Law

The following are the requirements for research papers submitted for the award:

• The research paper must be submitted in three hard copies.

• The research paper must be between 70 and 150 pages in length.

• Three abstracts of the research paper, each between 10 and 20 pages long, must be included, providing a concise and comprehensive overview of all aspects of the research.

• The research paper must be prepared specifically for this competition and must not have been previously published or submitted to any other entity.

• A CD containing a copy of the research paper in both PDF and Word formats must be included.

Those wishing to apply for the award and obtain an official nomination letter from the university must submit the following documents:

1. A nomination letter approved by the dean of the faculty, including the nominee's information and contact details.

2. Proof of application submitted through the university website via the designated link.

3. A recent academic transcript.

4. Justification for the award application, using the form sent to the faculties.

5. The nominee's curriculum vitae, including a recent photograph.

Important Notice

All the aforementioned documents and materials must be attached in full to the nomination letter received from the faculty.

The deadline for award applying is December 31, 2026.

The deadline for receiving nominations from university faculties is November 30, 2026.
