Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, attended the Fourth Scientific Forum for Graduates and the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the graduation of the first batch, which was organized by the Faculty of Dentistry, headed by Prof. Karim El-Batouti, under the supervision of Prof. Reham Magdy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Dalia El-Qershi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Walaa Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development. The forum was coordinated by Dr. Amira El-Naggar, Director of the Graduates Unit at the Faculty, in the presence of a group of faculty staff, teaching assistant, graduates from the internship, and also students of the Faculty from the upper years.

In his speech, Prof. Rami Maher expressed his pride in what the first graduating class of the Faculty of Dentistry had achieved inside and outside the faculty, despite it being a relatively new faculty, it had positioned itself among the best dental faculties, with its numerous achievements at the local and international levels, which is evident in the strong interest of students in studying there, whether at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Prof. Karim El-Batouti emphasized the commitment of successive faculty administrations to maintaining communication with the faculty's graduates. This commitment is demonstrated through numerous workshops, culminating in the first alumni gathering. He added that it is crucial to follow up with graduates and monitor their progress through the faculty's alumni follow-up unit. He explained that the educational process is not isolated; rather, it is essential to stay connected with graduates to identify ways to improve teaching methods, meet the demands of the job market, and develop their problem-solving skills.
He also noted that these gatherings provide an excellent opportunity for graduates and students to learn about the latest advancements in the field of oral and dental medicine.

In her address, Prof. Reham Magdy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the 4th Annual Alumni Gathering of the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the graduation of the first class, reflects a history rich in achievement, dedication, and pride in its graduates and their role as successful role models. She commended the graduates' sense of belonging and responsibility towards the faculty, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational communication and connecting past experiences with present aspirations to build a future worthy of the faculty's standing. She noted that the faculty's mission is to prepare a physician who combines scientific knowledge, skill, and professional ethics.
She also expressed her gratitude to the university and faculty administration, the faculty staff, the alumni unit, the administrators, the organizing students, and all participants.
Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations, pointed out the Alumni Association’s keenness to be present at various events related to graduates, in addition to continuing communication between old and new graduates, to transfer experiences between generations, explaining the activities of the association, which vary between meetings with graduates on various occasions and holding official graduation ceremonies and other events, in addition to workshops in various disciplines, as well as the facilities it provides to its members in various medical, social and recreational fields.
The lectures were delivered by a distinguished group of speakers, some of whom were alumni, presenting eight outstanding lectures and workshops on the latest advancements in dentistry.
The lectures covered relevant scientific and practical topics, including sessions on clear aligner treatment, the management of non-vital primary teeth, adhesive restorations, dental photography using smartphones, innovations in pulp trauma treatment, pterygoid implants as a graft-free solution for atrophied maxillary teeth, smart restoration updates for junior dentists, and orthognathic surgery.
