The university organized a major celebration titled “Ain Shams University: National Leadership Shaping the Future, The Grand Egyptian Museum: A Pivotal Role and Enduring Contributions.”
In her speech, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development, expressed her happiness at launching the first event in a series of seminars organized by the sector under the title “Ain Shams University… National Leadership Shaping the Future.” She affirmed that this title genuinely reflects a long-standing journey of work, knowledge, and national responsibility.
She added that these seminars convey a clear message to successive generations of the university’s community: that what has been achieved was not a matter of coincidence, but rather the result of scientific commitment and professional dedication, and that what was left by predecessors is a trust and a responsibility through which the journey continues and upon which a brighter future is built.
Documenting Institutional Memory and Inspiring Future Generations
The Vice President explained that these seminars shed light on one of the greatest national and civilizational projects in modern Egyptian history, and objectively document the sincere contributions of Ain Shams University professors who participated with their knowledge and expertise in this global landmark, the Grand Egyptian Museum, which presents Egyptian civilization to the world through a contemporary vision befitting its deep-rooted heritage.
She emphasized that the university’s contributions to this project, as well as to other national initiatives, represent a genuine national effort that deserves to be recorded and preserved, not merely for recognition, but out of conviction in the importance of documentation and building institutional memory, to serve as a source of inspiration and a driving force for continued dedication and achievement.
