The seminar was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Amany Mohamed Kamel, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University. She discussed several recently popular dietary regimens promoted as the latest trends in nutrition, highlighting the potential health risks of following them without proper medical supervision.

Dr. Kamel also addressed the distinction between weight loss as a temporary therapeutic measure and weight management as a sustainable lifestyle. She explained the keto diet, outlining its benefits and potential harms, and discussed the effectiveness of intermittent fasting, questioning whether it is truly the optimal solution for weight loss.

She emphasized that real change begins with a change in mindset before focusing on weight, delivering an important awareness message to the attendees.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Prof. Rola Milad Labib, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, expressed her gratitude to Assist. Prof. Dr. Amani Mohamed Kamel in recognition of her active participation and outstanding contribution to the seminar.
