As part of strengthening international partnerships and developing the capabilities of the health sector in Egypt, a high-level delegation from Ain Shams University paid an official visit to Finland.
The delegation included Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali El Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Mohamed Ismail, and Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Critical Care Affairs.
This visit comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of health services and enhance the efficiency of care systems provided to a wide range of patients who depend on its university hospitals.
During the meetings, an agreement was reached to establish a strategic partnership in the areas of medical training, clinical development, and improving the efficiency of critical care units, with a focus on digital transformation and adopting the latest medical technologies in accordance with international standards.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders from GE Healthcare, including: Mr. Pal Arnier, General Manager of the Monitoring Devices Division; Mr. Fred Clement, General Manager of Marketing; Mr. Walid Fayyad, General Manager of Digital Solutions for the Middle East and Africa; and Mr. Mohamed Saad, Director of the Critical Care Division for North East Africa.
This collaboration represents an important step towards enhancing medical excellence, expanding training opportunities, and supporting comprehensive development and modernization plans for the critical care system in Ain Shams University hospitals.
