The Faculty of Arts organizes Seminar on E-Marketing Skills to Empower Youth with the Tools of the Future
As part of the Faculty of Arts' commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its students, the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University held a seminar on e-marketing skills to empower young people with the tools of the future. The seminar was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Israa Mohamed Fahim, Director of the Innovation and Project Support Unit, and with the coordination of Dr. Mohamed Farid El Metwally, Deputy Director of the Unit. The event comes as an extension of the Faculty's efforts to integrate practical training with academic education in a manner befitting a graduate capable of competing and turning their ideas into reality.

Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally commended the convening of this seminar, emphasizing in her message that the faculty is working to equip its students with skills that extend beyond traditional lectures, because the future is shaped by those who possess knowledge and effectively apply it within a changing context that relies on innovation, digital transformation, and smart work.

During the lecture, Mr. Amr El-Takly, an e-marketing consultant at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, presented a broad and comprehensive overview of the world of digital marketing, addressing its origins, development, and its increasing role in shaping the features of the modern market.

He discussed the importance of understanding user behavior through data analysis, noting that the success of marketing campaigns depends not on intuition or random promotion, but on a precise understanding of audience needs, the timing of messages, and the appropriate content for each demographic.

He also addressed the differences between content marketing, paid advertising, influencer marketing, SEO strategies, and managing campaigns across various social media platforms, explaining that each medium has its own unique approach, objectives, and success metrics.

Mr. Amr El-Takly provided students with practical guidance on building a professional personal brand, and how anyone—even before starting a project or job—can create a strong digital presence that attracts opportunities and builds trust in their abilities.

Mr. El-Takly also presented real-world examples of small businesses that started with a simple idea and transformed into tangible successes thanks to the use of sound and well-thought-out digital marketing strategies.

The students engaged with the lecturer in an open discussion that included questions about freelance opportunities, pricing strategies, planning digital campaigns, and selecting the right platforms for each project.

At the end of the session, the organizers commended the active participation and eagerness to learn, emphasizing that these meetings will continue as a window through which the faculty looks to the future, and through which its students confidently enter the wider professional world.
