The Faculty of Pharmacy organizes Seminar on "Mastering Scientific Writing: What to Publish and How to Write Using Artificial Intelligence Tools"

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Rehab Othman Ahmed, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Irene Ayoub, Professor of Pharmacognosy and Director of International Relations and Academic Cooperation at the Faculty, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University organized a training lecture on “Mastering Scientific Writing: What to Publish and How to Write Using AI Tools”.

Dr. Mai Abdel Nabi Ismail Mamoun, a researcher in the Department of Pharmacognosy at the National Research Centre, explained the importance of developing scientific writing skills among researchers, and explained the mechanisms of publishing in prestigious scientific journals. She also discussed the best methods for using artificial intelligence tools to support scientific research and improve academic writing, while emphasizing adherence to ethical standards for using these tools.

She also reviewed the guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence in higher education and scientific research, which were recently approved by the Supreme Council of Universities, pointing to the principles and foundations of scientific writing and the steps for preparing a strong scientific paper according to the standards of peer-reviewed journals, and clarifying the role of scientific publishing and its requirements, in addition to the latest artificial intelligence tools that support scientific research and the applications of artificial intelligence in academic research.

The lecture also included practical examples and an open discussion on the challenges and opportunities in scientific writing, international publishing, and the use of artificial intelligence.

At the conclusion of the event, the faculty expressed its gratitude to Dr. Mai Abdel Nabi for her outstanding presentation and to all attendees—faculty staff, teaching assistants, researchers, and graduate students—for their active participation, affirming its continued commitment to supporting researchers and enhancing the quality of scientific output.
