In line with Ain Shams University’s enlightening mission, its educational role in shaping student awareness, and its ongoing efforts to instill positive values and strengthen national belonging among its students, by presenting inspiring and influential role models from among scholars and thinkers who combine enlightened religious discourse with balanced intellectual awareness, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Students for Egypt family at Ain Shams University organized an open dialogue seminar with the religious preacher Mostafa Hosny in Al-Nouri Hall at the Faculty of Business.
The event was attended by Prof. Farid Moharram, Dean of the Faculty of Business, and was coordinated, administratively supervised, and attended by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector. Also present were Dr. Samar Ragab, Lecturer at the Faculty of Education and advisor to the Students for Egypt family, the family leaders at the university’s various faculties, and Mr. Mohamed El-Gammal, Head of the Central Administration of the University President’s Office.
The seminar witnessed a large turnout from Ain Shams University students, including students of determination.
At the beginning of the event, Prof. Farid Moharram welcomed the guest speaker, Mr. Mostafa Hosny, expressing his pleasure in hosting him at the university and noting that he is considered one of the most prominent young preachers of our time, combining enlightened thought with a heartfelt, accessible religious message.
He also thanked the Students for Egypt family for their distinguished organization of the seminar, emphasizing the university’s commitment to raising the cultural and intellectual standards of its students, expanding their awareness across various fields, and benefiting from the expertise of influential young figures.
In her remarks, Dr. Samar Ragab explained that the cultural forum of the Students for Egypt family reflects the family’s keen interest in promoting religious and intellectual awareness among students and supporting constructive dialogue that integrates thought and practice to build a conscious, balanced generation capable of contributing to society’s progress.
She extended her gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, for his continuous support and care for the Students for Egypt family.
Preacher Mostafa Hosny began his talk by expressing his appreciation to Ain Shams University, its leadership, and the attending students, noting that gatherings of knowledge bring blessings to all who participate.
Throughout his speech, he delivered a series of positive messages encouraging students to uphold willpower, strength, and wisdom, qualities that are among the attributes of God Almighty, within human capacity.
He also spoke about the Prophet Muhammad’s intercession (peace be upon him), urging students to maintain their prayers, work diligently, avoid wasting time, and move forward with the faith that God never lets the reward of good deeds be lost.
The speaker further discussed the qualities mentioned in the Holy Qur’an describing the righteous servants and those whom God loves, focusing on explaining the virtues in the verses: “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth humbly…” (verses 63–66), encouraging students to embody these values.
The meeting also featured lively interaction from the students, who raised a diverse range of questions that the guest speaker answered in an engaging and positive atmosphere. The topics included religious and human issues such as intercession, the importance of prayer, Islamic attire, values of tolerance, dealing with depression, the ruling on listening to music, among others that enriched the discussion.
The seminar concluded with words of thanks to the Students for Egypt family at Ain Shams University for their distinguished organization of the event, which came as part of the university’s commitment to supporting awareness, promoting positive values, and encouraging constructive dialogue among youth.
