Eight research projects won awards at the first scientific conference for Pharm D students at the Faculty of Pharmacy

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rehab Othman, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the faculty organized the first scientific conference for Pharm D students to discuss graduation projects presented by final-year students. This conference is part of the faculty's efforts to link theoretical study with practical application and develop students' scientific research skills.

The conference featured discussions on 29 research projects submitted by students, reflecting the knowledge and skills they acquired during their years of study in the program.

The discussions resulted in eight outstanding projects, selected based on precise scientific criteria.

The faculty's eight academic departments participated in supervising the projects, reflecting the integration and cooperation between the various disciplines. The event was also attended by Prof. Rola Milad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, department heads, and faculty staff.

The conference was organized by Dr. Iman Al-Marakbi, a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, with the participation of teaching assistants from various departments. Everyone worked diligently to ensure the event was well-attended, befitting the faculty's students and their academic standing.

The organizing committee included Dr. Mona El-Geyar - Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Dr. Madonna Michel - Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Assistant Lecturer. Mariam Hesham - Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, Assistant Lecturer. Sherine El-Qarsh - Analytical Chemistry, Assistant Lecturer. Mona Magdy - Biochemistry, Nadine Sherif - Drugs and Toxicology, Hager Omar - Clinical Pharmacy, and Assistant Lecturer. Suzan Mahmoud - Pharmacognosy.
