This specialized training aims to empower student volunteers from various university faculties and provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to correct misconceptions about drug use and addiction among their peers, thereby effectively contributing to preventing university youth from falling into the clutches of drugs.
This fruitful collaboration comes within the framework of the ongoing partnership between the Fund and Egyptian universities, and seeks to activate the role of youth in combating the phenomenon of addiction. This field training was preceded by a series of awareness seminars within the university faculties and intensive training workshops aimed at qualifying student volunteers and providing them with the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively.
The training was attended by Dr. Rasha Mohamed Rashad, a researcher at the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse and the university's preventive programs coordinator, as well as student supervisors from the Family Department and Student Unions.
This field training reflects the commitment of Ain Shams University and the Fund for Combating Addiction to implementing a joint plan aimed at harnessing the energies of youth and engaging them as an active element in achieving the goals of the National Strategy for Combating Drugs and building sound community awareness.
