Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and the supervision of Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty hosted a team from the German Goethe Institute in a seminar to present job opportunities in German institutions in Egypt. The seminar was attended and coordinated by Prof. Nahla Nagi, Head of the German Language Department at the Faculty, Dr. Asem El Amari, Lecturer in the Department, and a group of faculty staff, teaching assistants, and students.
Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed a team from the German Goethe Institute, headed by Prof. Amira El-Nahrawy, and the Institute's staff. This visit is part of the Faculty's cooperation with international institutions to enhance the expertise and skills of the Faculty's students and graduates in the labor market.

Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University believes in the importance of developing the skills of its students and graduates to enable them to integrate efficiently into the local and international labor market, through hosting events such as the Goethe Institute team.
The faculty seeks to provide students with real opportunities to explore available career opportunities and enhance their communication with German institutions operating in Egypt.
The faculty also focuses on building strategic partnerships with German institutions and companies, which contributes to providing practical training and job opportunities for its students, enhancing their practical skills, and better preparing them for the job market.
The faculty indicated that it prioritizes supporting its students and graduates by providing an educational environment that encourages innovation and professional development.
Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized the faculty's commitment to opening up employment opportunities for fourth-year students and graduates and cooperating with international institutions in this regard.
She added that the faculty is working effectively to meet all the requirements of the labor market in various fields that require translation skills, research capabilities, and academic expertise, through this cooperation and support between the two parties.
During the seminar, Ms. Amira El-Nahrawy, Head of the Goethe-Institut Team, emphasized that the institute was keen to launch its first introductory seminar at the Faculty of Al-Alsun Ain Shams University, as it is the largest and most important educational institution specializing in languages in Egypt.
The team reviewed the job opportunities and scholarships offered by the university in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation. Fourth-year undergraduate and credit-degree students responded to the presentation, and the team answered their questions and discussed the available opportunities in detail.
Prof. Nahla Nagi pointed out that the scholarship offered by the Goethe-Institut to fourth-year students in the German Language Department, according to the semester and credit hour system, comes within the framework of the up4jobs program offered by the Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The program allows students to enroll in a group of language courses at the Goethe-Institut in Cairo after completing their fourth-year exams, in addition to free courses in the field of intercultural communication and conversation for customer service. This is done in cooperation with German companies operating in Egypt to qualify students upon graduation to obtain a job opportunity in the field of customer service in international companies in Egypt after completing the courses provided to them.
Dr. Asim Al-Ammari highlighted the fruitful cooperation between the German Language Department and the Goethe Institute, and its commitment to providing significant support to its students and preparing them for the job market in collaboration with international institutions. Dr. Asim Al-Ammari also valued the fruits of cooperation with German-speaking international organizations, including their provision of the largest number of scholarships to students in the German Language Department.
