A delegation of Ain Shams University actively participates in the Second Summit of Student Union Leaders

Ain Shams University participated with a distinguished delegation of student union leaders in the activities of the Second Summit Forum for Student Union Leaders, which was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Institute of Leadership Preparation. 200 male and female students participated in the forum. The forum witnessed wide participation from various public, private, national and technological universities and higher institutes, with the aim of strengthening the role of university youth and empowering them with effective leadership tools.

Ain Shams University's participation came under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University. The university's students had a remarkable presence and active participation in the various activities of the forum, which included more than 15 interactive training workshops covering diverse and important topics to develop their leadership and intellectual capabilities. These topics included effective leadership skills, preparing and implementing summit activities, media planning, and creating a visual identity for student unions, in addition to building development initiatives, measuring performance indicators, and evaluating student activities.

Ain Shams University students, along with their colleagues from other universities, were distributed across different geographic regions. They actively participated in forming regional student committees that implemented live simulations of institutional planning and management. This practical experience allowed Ain Shams University students to gain valuable experience and apply the leadership concepts discussed in the training workshops.

In a statement, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasized that the conclusion of the forum's activities represents a new starting point toward consolidating a culture of enlightened youth leadership and building generations capable of assuming responsibility and actively participating in formulating national development policies. He noted that supporting tomorrow's leaders is a national priority in light of the state's strategy to empower youth and build the new republic.

In this context, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, emphasized that youth are the leaders and makers of the future, and they are the cornerstone upon which any nation's renaissance is built. From this standpoint, Ain Shams University pays special attention to empowering its students and developing their leadership and intellectual capabilities, believing that investing in youth is the best investment for the nation's future.

His Excellency added that the participation of Ain Shams University students in this forum represents an opportunity to interact with student leaders from various universities, exchange ideas and visions, and learn about best practices in student work and leadership.

For his part, Dr. Karim Hammam, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities and Director of the Leadership Development Institute, explained that the forum reflected an active student spirit and a collective will to create positive change through an integrated package of training workshops and dialogue sessions. He noted that the institute operates according to a new vision focused on preparing leaders who possess critical awareness, the ability to innovate, and a sense of national belonging. He explained that the forum produced a group of promising student initiatives that will be supported and implemented within universities during the next academic semester.

The forum, which was held under the supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Sector - Families and Student Unions Administration at the General Administration of Youth Welfare Office, and attended by students Wissam Khaled, President of the Ain Shams University Union, and Mohamed Mansour, Vice President of the Ain Shams University Student Union, provided an opportunity to learn about best practices in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence applications, and digital skills. They also participated in advisory sessions on building a career path and qualifying for the local and international labor market, which aligns with the Ministry's vision of preparing university graduates qualified to compete globally.

At the conclusion of the forum, the students expressed their deep appreciation for this enriching experience, which enhanced their awareness and leadership skills. They affirmed their commitment to being ambassadors for change within their university, carrying the nation's message of shaping a future based on awareness, knowledge, and belonging.
