The activities of the Clan Camp of the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, were concluded at the 55th International Camp for Scouts and Guides in Port Said, which was held from February 21 to 25, 2024, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

Prof. Hanan Kamel confirmed that the student camps aim to create a spirit of good citizenship, and the morning flag salute performed by the students supports the virtue of loyalty to the homeland, and the students’ participation in these camps also contributes to the development of positive attitudes in them such as: manual work, order, helping others and altruism.

         
   
         

The Dean of the Faculty also urged the students before the start of the camp to adhere to the ethics of fair competition and the spirit of teamwork, and also urged them to focus on obtaining first places in the camp competitions.

For his part, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty, confirmed that the camp offers a group of programs; It varies between religious, cultural, sports, scouting and social.

The camp aims to develop physical fitness, general health, self-reliance, and create appropriate conditions to adapt to life in the camp.

Students’ participation in the camp represents an opportunity to absorb their energies and their desire to create and give, as well as learn about individual skills, reveal and refine their talents, as well as discover and treat their weaknesses. It also represents an opportunity to get to know each other, exchange experiences, and benefit from the skills of others.

         
   
         

The Dean of the Faculty added that the camp contributes to respecting the idea of leadership and progression in tasks among team members.

Student Malak Mahmoud, Secretary of the Scouts Committee, and Salma Ibrahim, Assistant Secretary of the Committee, also participated in the organization. The camp consists of a board of directors of the four groups, and a jury led by student Ahmed Ezzat.

The first group is led by the student Aya Sami, the second group is led by the student Muhammad Hassan, the third group is led by the student Ziyad Muhammad, and the fourth group is led by the student Nada Jamil, and each group has a representative, as follows: Mina Raafat, the representative of the first group, Naira Yasser, the representative of the second group, Habiba Ramadan, the representative of the third group, Ernest Tharwat, the representative of the fourth group.
