The Ambassador of Azerbaijan visits Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, received Dr. Alkhan Bolokhov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cairo, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts.

The meeting discussed ways of cooperation between Ain Shams University and Azerbaijani universities in various disciplines, as well as the exchange of visits between professors and students.

Dr. Alkhan Polokho, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cairo, expressed his admiration for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Building and the idea of its presence at the university, which reflects Ain Shams University's interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, and small projects.

This meeting was preceded by the visit of the Azerbaijani ambassador to the Faculty of Arts, where he was received by Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, as they discussed providing academic scholarships for students and bringing in visiting professors to teach the Azerbaijani language, and on the other hand teaching Arabic.

This was followed by a tour of the faculty to see the replacement and renovation works in the classroom located on the second floor and donated by the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Faculty of Arts, which was recently completed.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan praised the construction work carried out in the hall, and then he inspected the faculty library located on the ground floor to see rare books and valuable scientific references that the Faculty of Arts abound with.
