The President of Ain Shams University receives the President of Al-Azhar University

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, received His Eminence Prof. Salama Dawoud, President of Al-Azhar University, and His Eminence Prof. Mohamed Al-Mahrasawi, former President of Al-Azhar University, Vice President of the International Organization of Al-Azhar Graduates, Prof. Youssef Amer, Chairman of the Senate Religious Affairs Committee, Prof. Amani Abdullah Al-Sherif, Director of the Regional Office of the Association of African Universities for North Africa, Vice President of the Pan African University.

This came in the presence of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at Ain Shams University, where Prof. Salamah Daoud congratulated Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abedeen for the confidence of the political leadership in him and his appointment as President of the prestigious Ain Shams University, wishing His Eminence success and prosperity.

The meeting, which was dominated by cordiality and understanding between the two sides, discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two universities and the Association of African Universities and the mechanisms for this through various activities and events through which a greater intellectual and cultural exchange can be achieved between students of all North African countries and attract a larger number of students from North African countries to study in Egypt.

The two sides also expressed their willingness to cooperate within the Greater Cairo Universities Alliance system, which aims to exchange experiences and maximize the use of human resources between Greater Cairo universities and each other, in accordance with the direction of the Egyptian state, led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in implementation of the goals of sustainable development and achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Dhia Zain El-Abedeen, offered sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Salama Daoud and the delegation accompanying him, stressing the keenness of the Ain Shams University administration to deepen joint cooperation in various fields with the prestigious Al-Azhar University.
