Tomorrow...the Faculty of Medicine celebrates World Diabetes Day

Within the framework of the celebration of World Diabetes Day, corresponding to November 14, 2023, which aims to enhance health awareness for diabetics, early detection, awareness of the disease, and prevention of its complications, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Affairs Community service and environmental development, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Hala Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. Tomorrow, Tuesday, the Faculty of Medicine is organizing diabetes awareness activities, starting with a walking tour in Al-Arab Al-Mohammadi Park at 8:30 a.m. Then the activities will be completed with an awareness seminar at Al Banhawi Amphitheater from 10 am.

The symposium will discuss highlighting healthy nutrition and the importance of exercise for diabetics.

On the sidelines of the celebration, free tests will be conducted using the latest devices for random and cumulative blood sugar levels, blood pressure, lipids, and weight.
