Next Wednesday... Ain Shams University will host an innovation competition in biotechnology

Ain Shams University will host an innovation competition in biotechnology next Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in cooperation with the Department of Veterinary Services of the Armed Forces within the framework of Ain Shams University's mission to support scientific research and to achieve the Egyptian state's vision 2030 to advance higher education and scientific research.

The innovation competition in biotechnology is a window through which all students and graduates of Egyptian universities, scholars, and researchers in modern sciences, compete.

Where biotechnology is one of the branches of interdisciplinary sciences that students of various faculties participate in, including medicine, science, agriculture, computer science and artificial intelligence, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy.

It aims to adapt living organisms to produce vital products that are used in therapeutic, industrial, and production applications, the most important of which is the manufacture of veterinary and human vaccines.

The competition was prepared in cooperation with the Department of Veterinary Services in the Armed Forces, and the winners get opportunities for training in modern laboratories in the field of biotechnology at the Veterinary Hospital for Treatment and Laboratory Analysis in the Armed Forces. This training contributes to supporting students and graduates in achieving leadership and excellence in scientific research.

A large number of students and researchers at the faculties of Ain Shams University and other Egyptian universities are participating in the competition. The participants in the competition represent the faculties of Pharmacy, Computers and Information, Science, and Agriculture.

The competition jury includes a large number of professors from Ain Shams University and other Egyptian universities such as Cairo University, Al-Azhar University, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, Misr University for Science and Technology, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and the Faculty of Medicine of the Armed Forces.

The competition activities will be held at Al Banhawi Amphitheater at the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University.
