The new in cases of chronic obstruction of the coronary arteries in the sixth edition of the conference of the Egyptian Society of Cardiology in cooperation with the Department of Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine

The Egyptian Society of Cardiology, in cooperation with the Department of Cardiology, at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, organized the Sixth Intervention Conference in Cases of Chronic Obstruction of the Coronary Arteries, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Prof. Islam Shawky, President of the Association and the supervision of Prof. Azza El-Feki, Head of the Cardiology Department, headed by Pro. Adel Al-Atrebi, Professor of Cardiology, at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University.

The activities of conference witnessed the presentation of a large number of highly complex cases, and a number of foreign experts and Egyptian professors presented talks on methods of treating chronic obstruction of the coronary arteries.

Over the course of two days, the conference discussed methods of treating chronic obstruction after open heart operations, how to deal with calcifications in the coronary arteries, and the feasibility of expanding chronic obstruction in cases of heart failure, in addition to how to perform interventions using a very small amount of dye. The conference also discussed how to prevent complications. And how to deal with it if it happens.

The conference sessions included a live transmission from inside the catheterization rooms of the Cardiology Department, at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, for 8 highly complex catheterization cases successfully.
