The University Awards Office meets in its thirty-seventh meeting with scholars and pioneers

Based on Ain Shams University's keenness to achieve excellence and competition, and as a continuation of Ain Shams University's leadership in the field of awards through its pioneering and distinguished scholars in various fields, and benefiting from the practical experience of recipients of prestigious awards, the University Awards Office continued its meetings and held its thirty-seventh meeting for recipients of prestigious awards as well as Pioneers, which was held at the Networking and Information Technology Center at the university on April 11, 2023, under the supervision of Prof. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networking and Information Technology, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the University Awards Office, where the Awards Office hosted:

1- Prof. Talaat Mansour, professor emeritus in the Department of Mental Health at the Faculty of Education at the university, a pioneer of mental health in Egypt and the Arab world, founder of the Psychological Counseling Center at the Faculty of Education at the university, a member of the Supreme Council for Culture, a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a pioneer of mental health and psychological and human development, who is considered one of the pioneers of psychological intervention for psychological development. He received academic honors and membership in the American Association for the Advancement of Science, formerly Secretary General of the Egyptian Society for Psychological Studies, and formerly rapporteur of the judging committee for the University’s Appreciation Awards in the field of social sciences. In this field and focusing on childhood and youth issues, as major issues of concern to Ain Shams University and in line with the requirements of quality of life in Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the need to crown the competition of university youth in this important field with their distinguished research to obtain prestigious awards.

         
   
         

2- Prof. Ashraf El-Sayed Bakhit, Professor of Physics at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, former Dean of the Faculty of Education at October 6 University, and recipient of Dr. Latifa Al-Houti award for the best single research at the university level for the year 2009, where he referred to the history of his scientific giving and his membership in many specialized scientific societies, shedding light on international scientific research, which exceeded 43 international research in prestigious scientific journals, in addition to supervising many master's theses and PhD, which exceeded 13 scientific thesis, in addition to his participation in the arbitration of scientific research in the promotion committees for previous consecutive sessions, as well as the arbitration of scientific production for many Arab universities. He also emphasized the prominent role of Ain Shams University in supporting scientific research and rewards for international publication, and thanked the keenness of the university administration headed by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini and the vice presidents invited them to attend this celebration, confirming their keenness on the scientific research process, as well as supporting and facilitating the requirements of scholarship students abroad and supporting participation in conferences. His Excellency sent a message to the university's young researchers about the importance of scientific establishment, continuing learning, communicating in scientific research with professors, and making more efforts to be able to achieve self-realization and obtain prestigious awards.

Prof. Talaat Mansour and Prof. Ashraf Bakhit emphasized the pioneering role played by Ain Shams University in supporting scientific research and researchers to obtain prestigious awards and the need for faculty members to compete in all prestigious awards offered at all levels, to contribute to the leadership of Ain Shams University and support the international classification of the university in this field.
