The Faculty of Law Board holds its periodic meeting of March

The Faculty of Law Board held its periodic meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of the Vice Deans and members of the Board.

The dean of the faculty briefed the works that had been accomplished during the period between the two meetings of the Board, including the regular progress of the renovation and repair of the college facilities, the conclusion of a cooperation agreement with Queen Mary University of England that allows finding study opportunities for the assistant body at Queen Mary University, and the participation of both sides in organizing conferences, starting from the next faculty conference, and studying the possibility of co-teaching some courses.

Among them is also the completion of the first phase of implementing the cooperation protocol concluded with the Ministry of Justice to train college students in specialized courts, and the college teams participating in international mock trial competitions occupied advanced positions, including the victory of the college team participating in the Jessup International Competition for mock trial in third place at the level of Egyptian universities, and the victory of The team participating in the Willem C. VIS International Moot Trial Competition in the field of international commercial arbitration, and the first place at the level of Egyptian universities in the preliminary competition organized for this purpose under the auspices of the Cairo Regional Center for Arbitration.

The faculty also hosted the Oxford University mock trial competition for the Middle East during the period from the ninth to the twelfth of March 2023 AD, and the results of the first semester exams for the three divisions and open education were announced during the period specified by the college administration, and the preparation of some new programs in the college was completed.

The Board also discussed a number of important issues and made appropriate recommendations regarding them, including the promotion of some faculty members and their assistants, the registration of some PhD theses, and discussion of student affairs. The Board reviewed reports on the work of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee, and reports submitted by some members of the teaching assistants who traveled to abroad at the faculty's expense to complete their theses.
