A blood donation campaign at the Faculty of Medicine within the framework of the program of 5 donors for each patient

A blood donation campaign was launched on the campus of the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, in continuation of the Program of 5-Donors for each 5For one patient within the framework of the permanent donation program for the benefit of patients in Ain Shams University hospitals, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine And Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Hala Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Tariq Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, Prof. Iman Mohamed Amin Omar, Head of the Clinical Pathology Department, Prof. Abeer Attia Saad El Din, Supervisor of the main blood bank in hospitals of Ain Shams University.

The 5for1 program aims to spread awareness of permanent and regular voluntary donation, especially for the benefit of chronically transfused patients, which helps prevent the formation of antibodies in the event of blood transfusion from several donors.

Several campaigns have been launched throughout the university within the framework of the program, as a blood donation campaign was organized on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 on the campus of the Faculty of Archeology, at Ain Shams University, under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty, also participated in the campaign and donated blood. The campaign was coordinated by Dr. Sawsan Issa, supervisor of the Environmental and Community Service Projects Department.

Another donation campaign was also organized on the campus of the Faculty of Education, at Ain Shams University, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in coordination with Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel-Halim Farag, Vice Dean of the College of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The campaigns were organized by Prof. Asst. Dr. Dalia Diaa El-Din Salem, Deputy Supervisor of the Main Blood Bank and Director of Quality at Ain Shams University Hospitals, Prof. Naira Sami, professor at the Department of Public Health and a member of the Environment and Community Service Committee, Dr. Nermin Mostafa, director of a blood bank at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, at Ain Shams University Hospitals, in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Dr. Rehab Abdel Rahman, director of the hospital.
