Ain Shams, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, at the university and a group of deans and vice-presidents of the university’s faculties, and prof. Mohamed El-Gamal, head of the central administration of the university president sector, prof. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, General Manager of the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs Sector and General Supervisor of University Campuses.

Major General Mohamed Amin Nasr, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs and Treasurer of Long Live Egypt, confirmed that the celebration comes within the framework of implementing the directives of the President of the Republic to organize a number of exhibitions of the two presidential initiatives, “Dukan Al Farha” and “Abwab Al Khair” to support the most vulnerable families to provide food and clothing in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.

   
   

He added that the celebration brings together a number of the Fund's partners from the government, the private sector and civil society, pointing out that Dokan Al Farha exhibition organized at Ain Shams University comes as the first event organized by the Fund to translate the partnership with the Ministry of Finance represented by the Egyptian Customs Authority to benefit from the clothes provided by the Authority and implemented through it. The fund is the largest clothing campaign for the most vulnerable families to provide 2 million items of clothing to those who are eligible.

The Executive Director of the Long Live Egypt Fund, Tamer Abdel-Fattah, indicated that the celebration included organizing an exhibition that lasts for 4 days, and includes 20,000 pieces of clothing, shoes, and accessories, in addition to personal care products provided by Unilever to take care of 5,000 eligible students at the university, in cooperation with a number of manufacturers and importers. For ready-made clothes, including Tie House Company, Alex Apparel Company, T & C Company, Hi-Tech Company, and Canon Global Company, as well as clothing and stationery provided by the Egyptian Customs Authority, and 6 first-care brides from the children of workers in the support services at the university were equipped with marriage supplies, as they received all Girl 22 electrical appliances, furnishings and home appliances as part of the "Dukan Al Farha" initiative, in cooperation with Fresh, Elaraby Group and Tefal.

He explained that the celebration included the provision of 12 tons of dry foodstuffs, a ton of meat, and half a ton of juices and milk provided by Beyti Al-Marai Company for the benefit of a thousand eligible workers at the university within the “Bawab Al-Khair” initiative in partnership with the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and Ezz Steel Company.

   
   

In his speech, A. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, affirmed that the exhibition is a sophisticated and unprecedented idea emanating from the Long Live Egypt Fund, the owner of this idea, which tours the universities of Egypt through solidarity, dignity, a decent life, and the Long Live Egypt Fund for all governorates of Egypt, stressing the importance of the role of civil society in supporting the activities of Egyptian universities provided to students.

He also appreciated the efforts of Tahya Misr Fund in sponsoring Ain Shams University students and families in the areas of health care and social protection, which witnessed many activities, including equipping university hospitals with dialysis machines and incubators for premature babies, as well as supporting the educational process in the Faculty of Medicine’s skills lab to provide systems that simulate the human body to develop a system for training graduates of the Faculty of Medicine.

His Excellency referred to the Ain Shams University Solidarity Fund, which has become during the last three years supporting approximately 15 to 20% of the students of Ain Shams University, stressing the important and vital role provided by success partners, led by the Long Live Egypt Fund and the Ministry of Finance headed by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance Mr. Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo.

His Excellency added that the target groups of "Shop of Joy" are students and workers with special needs and their children, which indicates the solidarity and maturity of Egyptian society through the directives of the political leadership headed by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Pointing out that the exhibition coincides with the challenges that Egypt and the world are facing these days, and that Egypt is part of the world, and the duty of the university is to provide what it can to face these challenges.

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that the Tahya Misr Fund always provides happiness to the Egyptian people in general and university students in particular, as they are an essential segment of society and they are the main engine of scientific progress, and that the new republic is based on the Egyptian people getting what they deserve.

His Excellency added that student satisfaction is one of the basic principles that Ain Shams University works on, and what is meant here is not only educational satisfaction, but general satisfaction, which is guaranteed by these initiatives.

His Excellency referred to the Solidarity Fund supported by Ain Shams University, whether the support is through residence in university dormitories, provision of textbooks, or access to medical care, and that Ain Shams University has allocated from its financial resources and some other societal parties and supports the disbursement of about 24 million pounds to support more than 30 One thousand male and female students out of 200,000 students.

He added that Tahya Misr Fund provides moral support as well as material support by providing the finest brands in a very sophisticated way to support those who are unable, and this is a reflection of the vision of the political leadership, in addition to the support of the Long Live Egypt Fund for Ain Shams University in many community initiatives and the literacy project. and medical and development convoys.

He also alluded to community projects such as the project of solidarity, dignity and a decent life, stressing that this type of community solidarity is the solidarity of society with the help of the state and the solidarity of the state with the help of society, this society that will always remain one hand.

Adding that "Dukan Al-Farha" is a societal message that should not be reduced to a symbiotic exhibition of clothes and tools, but rather a societal message that far exceeds its material benefit, but rather goes beyond it to achieve moral and societal benefit and set an example for the entire community.

For her part, Dr. Sahar Nasr, Executive Director of the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House Foundation, expressed her happiness at the speedy activation of the protocol concluded with the fund to expand the activity of the Zakat and Charity House Foundation and serve the largest number of eligible families, pointing out that the coming period will witness an intensification of social protection and urban development programs to provide life Generous for citizens in the areas most in need.

The exhibition included many free new clothes from the most powerful international brands, in addition to products and cosmetics, in addition to providing free gifts from the Long Live Egypt Fund for students of university dormitories and college students. It aims to sponsor 5 thousand students for whom a social case study was prepared, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Al-Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, to intensify the activities of the Fund for Social Protection, coinciding with the reception of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to providing 1,000 beneficiaries from the university’s employees, in addition to providing 20,000 pieces of clothing, equipping 6 first-care girls with marriage requirements, and providing 13.5 tons of foodstuffs, meat and milk within the “Bawab” initiative. Good preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.

The celebration also included handing over compensatory devices to 12 students of determination who are capable of different abilities, as well as honoring 17 outstanding students in the various faculties of Ain Shams University.

It is worth noting that the “Dukan Al Farha” initiative was launched in April 2019. In addition to preparing brides, the initiative organizes exhibitions of new clothes in public universities and orphanages, taking into account the moral aspect, so that every student is given the opportunity to choose the appropriate pieces freely without charge.

During the last period, the initiative succeeded in providing more than one million new items of clothing, benefiting nearly 350,000 citizens.

It is worth noting that exhibitions were organized for students of the universities of Minya, South Valley, Alexandria, Ain Shams, Damietta, Sohag, Fayoum, and Helun, as well as exhibitions for the most vulnerable families, orphanages, children of prisoners, and people of determination, in Cairo, Giza, Sharkia, Luxor, Bahariya Oasis, Assiut, Qena, and North Sinai.
