Ain Shams University headed many of the first places, and its students won 23 individual awards and the Shield of Excellence, a partnership between Ain Shams University, Cairo University and the Academy of Arts, at the conclusion of the tenth edition of Ibdaa Festival, where Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, distinguished competition award to Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Dr.. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Student Activities and Supervision of Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharkawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Mr. Mustafa Essa, Director of the Technical Activity Department, Ms. Hind Hamed, Head of the Performing Arts Department, and each of the management supervisors and Mr. Abdel-Fadil Kamal and Mr. Ahmed Adel and Mr. Anas Maghawry and stars of art and culture in Egypt.

         
   
         

Ain Shams University students won 23 awards, all of them from the first places in various fields of the festival, 21 awards in the artistic fields, the second place award in the field of scientific innovations and theatrical composition award in the cultural field.

During the ceremony, A. Dr.. Mahmoud El-Matini expressed his great pride and helped him in the achievement of the sons of Ain Shams University and their distinction in various fields of the festival, pointing out that the Ebdaa Festival is the largest artistic event in which students from all universities, higher institutes, and governmental and private academies compete.

Abdul-Fattah Saud said that the university students’ harvest of the festival awards and their being ranked first in various areas of competition came as a result of hard and organized work for a long time for the education sector and students and the support, encouragement and training provided to the university’s children in various activities, as it became usual for them to top the first positions in various forums International and local, citing the university students' harvest in the Ibda'a 9 festival last year, 24 awards in all fields of the festival.

         
   
         

He affirmed the continued support of the education sector and students to all the university’s talented and other children, as the sector adopts the idea of ​​expanding the base of student participation to discover and develop the largest amount of talents and capabilities, believing in the importance of forming a balanced personality capable of success and able to confront any extremist and mistaken ideas with an enlightened intellectual thought and a strong spirit.

The competitions of Ain Shams University students came this year in various fields with more than 50,000 students representing 130 universities, higher institutes, and governmental and private academies, which reveals the extent of the interest of the Egyptian state and the new republic in the talented and creative people of the country.

The jury included a group of prominent thinkers, writers, intellectuals, poets and artists, most notably the artist Samiha Ayoub, the artist Suhair Al-Morshedy, the artist Sameh Al-Sraiti, the musician Hani Muhanna, the artist Safa Abu Al-Saud, the artist Ferdous Abdel Hamid, the artist Mahmoud Al-Hadini, the director Adel Abdo, the director Hani Khalifa, vocalist Mahmoud Yassin Tohamy, and the singer Marwa Nagy.

   
   

During the festival competitions, which included 21 fields, Ain Shams University students won first place in the field of collective singing theater, first place in the field of non-specialized group playing, first place in individual religious chanting, and the award for the best work written by students in the field of non-specialized playing and second place in composition Theatrical and second place in the field of individual chants, second place in the field of collective chants, and third place in the field of non-specialized group folk arts, in addition to awards for the best musical preparation in the field of non-specialized theatrical performances, the best singing in the field of non-specialized theatrical performances, and the best first actress in theatrical performances Non-specialized, Best Second Actor, Best Second Actress in non-specialized theatrical performances, Best Second Actress in Lyrical Theater, Best Third Actor in non-specialized theatrical performances, Third Best Actress in non-specialized theatrical performances, Third place in Solo singing, theatrical performance won (Sila) ranked second in non-specialized theatrical performances, and the theatrical show (Without Trace) ranked second in the field of specialized theatrical performances. Ain Shams University students also won awards for best clothes in the field of non-specialized theatrical performances and a first student director award in theatrical performances.
