Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and as part of the societal role of the University’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and its commitment to strengthening national awareness among young people, the Ain Shams University Social Observatory is launching a study to explore the extent to which the values and principles of the glorious October War remain present in the awareness of university youth and how they are reflected in their perspectives and everyday behavior.

The October Victory was not merely a military event in the nation’s history; it was an exceptional national experience that embodied enduring values of determination, resilience, sacrifice, belonging, teamwork, and confidence in the ability to achieve the impossible.

Today, we pose a new question: Is the spirit of October still alive in the minds of our youth? Have the values of victory evolved from a proud national memory into principles that we practice and translate into everyday behavior?

Ain Shams University students are invited to participate in the study by scanning the QR code displayed on the poster and completing the survey. Their participation will help identify young people’s perspectives and contribute to developing evidence-based recommendations that reinforce positive values and support the development of a generation that is more aware, more deeply connected to its nation, and better equipped to face future challenges.

Participate… because a nation’s memory is only complete through the awareness of its generations.
