Ain Shams University advanced 12 global places in the Green Metric Competition and achieved a rank of 695 in the QS Sustainability Classification.

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, and under the supervision of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, Dr. Ahmed Al-Banna, Director of the International Classification Office, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, Director of the University’s Center of Excellence for Sustainability, Ain Shams University achieved sixth place in Africa in the Global Green Metric Competition.

According to this measure, this year 2023, Ain Shams University achieved 304th place globally, 12 places ahead of the previous year.

1,183 universities from various countries of the world participated in the competition, which is based in Indonesia.

Ain Shams University also achieved 695th place globally in the QS Sustainability Classification, the criteria of which this year adopted more accurate tools in evaluating universities in terms of sustainability.
