"Ain Shams Sings Differently"...a new choir gifted by Ain Shams University to our dear homeland, Egypt

In a musical atmosphere of a different style, Ain Shams University launched the choir "Ain Shams Sings Differently", which is the first choir of its kind at Ain Shams University, where all the choir members consist of people with special needs "with visual disabilities".

The first concert of the choir was launched from the Talaat Harb Theater in the Faculty of Specific Education and was witnessed by Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Prof. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and a Prof. Mustafa Qadri, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations at the University, and Prof. Rana Al-Hilali, Director of the Center for Persons with Disabilities at the university, and a group of faculty staff.

The "Ain Shams Sings Differently " choir, which is launched by the Faculty of Specific Education under the auspices of the Education and Student Affairs Sector at the university and the University's Alumni Association includes more than 70% of the students and graduates of Ain Shams University. Graduates from Helwan University, Cairo, and the American University participate in it. They were trained in playing and singing at the Faculty of Specific Education, at Ain Shams University by Prof. Ahmed Salem, professor of music at the faculty and leader of the choir, to present a choir with a different vision.

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, announced that the choir was born and will continue under the auspices of the education sector and students, and all needs will be provided, including opening the doors of university theaters to training the choir and performing rehearsals, as well as material and moral support, and presenting them to participate in various forums. His Excellency also revealed the honoring of all members of the choir in the next session of the Education Affairs Sector and Students.

         
   
         

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud spoke impressively about the talents of all the choir members, whether in playing music or singing with creativity and mastery that exceeds the professionals, presenting a great example to overcome all obstacles or difficulties that may face any person in his life, stressing that the authentic Egyptian is always able to transform any adversity into granting, investing it and not breaking. In front of any obstacle or giving in to difficulties, they are great in their differences.

His Excellency also gave thanks and appreciation to the families of these greats for their efforts and great patience to present their children with distinguished and impressive talents capable of giving.

During a speech, Prof. Abdul Fattah Saoud praised the efforts of Prof. Ahmed Salem, the leader of the choir, and his distinction in motivating any group he works with and pushes them to present their best capabilities and talents because he is a professor who offers his knowledge and art with great love and this is clearly evident in every choir he leads.

Also, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti gifted an honorary membership to all the members of the Ain Shams Choir, singing differently in the Ain Shams University alumni associations, and they have the right to benefit from all the services provided by the association.

Prof. Osama Al-Sayed praised the movement that the Faculty of Specific Education is witnessing in the recent period, and this stems from the continuous support from the Department of Education and Student Affairs for the students and graduates of the faculty, and not only in the field of music and singing, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, inspected the exhibition of artistic paintings, which included textile paintings, paintings for printing and photography, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Sami, Dr. Mona Sami, and Dr. Nesma Hamza, which were some of the students' works.

         
   
         

The audience praised the ingenuity and accuracy of the paintings. Prof. Abdul Fattah Saoud stressed the necessity of investing in these artistic talents and linking students’ projects to the labor market.

It is noteworthy that the choir "Ain Shams Sings Differently" is the sixth choir that joins the choir bouquet of Ain Shams University, whose medium was popularized and praised by all. They are "The Rouh Al Sharq Choir, the Arabic Harmony Choir, the Faculty of Specific Education Choir, the Western Choir, and Choir On. Finally, the "Ain Shams Sings in Different" choir is born, to confirm that Ain Shams University was born and full of young talents that receive all the support from the university administration to shine in the sky of our dear homeland, Egypt. Thus, Ain Shams University gifted a selection of the best graduates who are able to give with love, creativity, and talent to create a better tomorrow for our dear Egypt.
