A seminar entitled "Highlighting the Right Thought and Confronting Extremist Ideology" at the Faculty of Girls

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated a seminar entitled “Exhibiting the Right Thought and Confronting Extremist Thought,” which was organized by the Social Committee of the Youth Welfare Department and the Faculty’s Female Students Union under the supervision of Mr. Ghada Mousa, Director of the Youth Welfare Department at the Faculty, in which Prof. Dr. Khalaf Al-Miri, Professor of Modern History, lectured. Contemporary and former head of the history department and head of committees at the Supreme Council of Culture.

The seminar witnessed a large turnout from the students, and it dealt with how to support the state's efforts in combating terrorism in order to preserve the security and stability of the country and achieve comprehensive development in accordance with Egypt's 2030 vision.

Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef confirmed the faculty administration's keenness to hold this type of seminar to raise awareness among female students.

Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy pointed out that the faculty’s education and student sector works according to an announced plan to develop the capabilities, skills and culture of female students, distributed throughout the academic year and the summer vacation.

At the conclusion of the seminar, a dialogue was opened, which was answered by Prof. Dr. Khalaf Al-Miri to all the inquiries of the students and what is on their minds.
