The Supreme Council for Education and Student Affairs praises the initiative of Ain Shams University

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report submitted by Dr. Mohamed Latif, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, regarding the meeting of the Supreme Council for Education and Student Affairs at Port Said University, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ibrahim, President of the University.

The council thanked Port Said University for hosting the council's activities amid precautionary and preventive measures against the Corona virus, expressing its wishes for the university to achieve more progress and prosperity in achieving its lofty mission.

The council also honored the vice presidents of universities of education and students affairs, whose tenure at the university has ended, and they are Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President of Alexandria University, Dr. Khaled Atallah, Vice President of Fayoum University, and Prof. Al-Rifai Mubarak, Vice President of Tanta University, and the Council congratulated Dr. Wael Abdel Salam, on the occasion of his appointment as Acting Vice President of Alexandria University of Education and Student Affairs.

The report pointed out that the Council discussed, during its meeting, a number of important issues at the level of Egyptian universities, including the review of the guiding rules for the teaching load for the credit hour programs for the first university stage, and the cumulative total calculation table; for use in studying the bylaws of the university education sectors’ committees, and setting the frames of reference for them.

The council also reviewed reports on universities' activities to spread community awareness among students during the past year, praising the initiative of Ain Shams University to print a brochure on universities' efforts to spread community awareness among Egyptian university students.
