Ain Shams University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies chairs the sector council meeting

Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector Council held a meeting today, chaired by Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and attended by the vice deans of the faculties for Postgraduate Studies and research, the Assistant Secretary for Graduate Studies, council members, and representatives of the relevant departments.

At the beginning of the session, Prof. Amani Osama praised the fruitful institutional cooperation between the faculties and the university, demonstrated during the visit of the Quality and Accreditation Commission. She emphasized the importance of enhancing academic and research integration to support the university's position locally and internationally.

         
   
         

During the meeting, the minutes of the previous session were approved, a speech by the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding adherence to the guiding framework for university education was reviewed, and a proposal was made to organize an online awareness workshop for all employees.

Discussions also addressed maximizing the role of online education in accordance with the law, and forming working groups to recommend academic programs that meet the needs of the local and international labor market.

The Council also reviewed the achievements of the faculties' research system, including scientific research plans, the number of published research papers, and inventions within the faculties, with a focus on monitoring international and local publishing and exchanging expertise between faculties.

The Council also discussed mechanisms for encouraging faculty staff to conduct studies and publish research related to education to serve education and develop the higher education system.
