The Faculty of Arts holds the closing ceremony of the academic year for international students 2023-2024

The Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, organized a celebration for the end of the academic year for international students, on Tuesday, 4/30/2024, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

The celebration was witnessed by the vice deans, Mrs. Eman Al Hosani, the technical attaché at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Cairo, and several faculty staff, employees, administrators, and Egyptian and international students.

         
   
         

Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the guests, noting the importance of establishing the international student’s unit to support studying at the faculty, and expressed her happiness with the establishment of this unit and its role in caring for expatriates.

She emphasized transparency in always dealing with expatriates and an open-door policy for them and noted that they should go to the expatriate unit in any matter related to them. She also announced the recruitment of employees from the Department of Student Affairs and Postgraduate Studies to the International Students Unit to be responsible for expatriate affairs at the bachelor’s and postgraduate studies levels to facilitate their work.

In her speech, the technical attaché of the UAE Embassy praised the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, its efforts to spread knowledge, and the good reception and care of Emirati students at the college, as well as showing the necessary readiness for the continuous development and modernization of the college’s administrative systems.

         
   
         

Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, welcomed the international students, expressed the necessary support to them, and sought to solve their problems, as they are our best ambassadors in their countries. He stressed the necessity of continuous communication to solve any problems that limit the achievement of their ambitions.

Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, welcomed the guests and praised them for organizing the celebration, and stressed that expatriate unity is an important step to support expatriates.

In the word of Dr. Ahmed Sami, lecturer of Persian language and literature, acting director of the expatriate unit at the Faculty of Arts, and coordinator of the celebration, welcomed the college administration, its professors, students, and the honorable audience. He then addressed the right of any human being to education, then spoke about Egypt’s role in nurturing science and learners over time and about its doors that are always open to every seeker of science and knowledge useful to humanity, then he spoke about the role of the Faculty of Arts in spreading the humanities and the importance of the unity of expatriates in the faculty.

The celebration included a short video showing the faculty and its students from all countries, and the floor was also open for discussion and questions for international students and attendees.
