The Women Support and Anti-Violence Against Women Unit organizes a workshop for legal consultants and lawyers inside Ain Shams University

under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Unit, organized an interactive workshop for legal consultants and lawyers at Ain Shams University, in the presence of a group of members of the Central Legal Affairs, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdul-Malik, lawyers at the university, a unit consultant Prof. Dr. Hoda Helal Environmental Accounting Consultant ,Prof. Dr. Iman jamil, criminal law teacher, and Dr. Amani Abdel Aal, clinical psychologist.

         
   
         

The workshop hosted the Counsellor, Ahmed Al-Naggar, the President of the Court of Appeal and the advisor of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at the National Council for Women. The workshop aims to train jurists on the legal frameworks to receive cases that have been subjected to violence, bullying or harassment, whether outside or inside the university campus.

and Prof. Dr. Hind Al-Hilali explained, during her speech, the objectives and legal mechanisms of the unit's work, which achieve empowerment and support strategies, in line with the state's plan for sustainable development 2030, adding that the unit is the first unit to support women and combat any attempt to practice violence against them in Egyptian universities.

Prof. Dr. Hind Al-Hilali stressed the unit's keenness to raise the level of its employees through training courses and workshops that it organizes constantly to ensure the provision of service at the highest level of professionalism, especially the legal frameworks and concepts affiliated with it and the difference between these concepts, such as the legal difference between harassment, exposure and bullying, which It was added to the unit, addressing it and raising awareness about bullying and protection from it.

         
   
         

Counselor Ahmed Al-Naggar, head of the Court of Appeal and advisor to the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at the National Council for Women, discussed the special laws regulating women's rights, clarifying the legal crimes that can be practiced against them.

The Counselor also reviewed the United Nations definition of violence against women, where the United Nations included in Article One a definition of violence against women issued in 1993, and Article No. 11, which guarantees the empowerment, care and protection of women, stressing that any law contrary to this constitutional article is unconstitutional.

He touched on the constitutional articles that guarantee women’s rights, such as Article Six that protects the right to grant Egyptian citizenship and Article Nine, in addition to that, he presented the legislative frameworks for the most important crimes of violence against women and explained the legal circumstances and circumstances that legally differentiate between terms such as harassment, exposure, rape and the laws and constitutional articles that stipulated On its penalties, a rich dialogue was conducted with the audience to clarify these circumstances and the difference between misdemeanors and felonies and their penalties, he also presented a law on the crime of bullying, its penalties and definition in Egyptian law.

Counselor Ahmed Al-Najjar also touched on electronic crimes and the protection of women from these crimes in Egyptian legislation and the penalties established by law for such crimes.
