Terms of reference of the department of internal and external researchs

Strategic plan Research of scientific research and which is funded by the university and is divided into the following sectors

1)      Medical science sector and a sector decision Dr. / Mohamed Osama Abdul Ghani, Deputy of the Faculty of Medicine of Graduate Studies and Researches.

2)      Basic sciences sector and a sector decision. D / Mohammed Hamed Abdel Aal, Deputy of the Faculty of Education for Graduate Studies and Researches.

3)      Engineering sciences sector and a sector decision. D / Mahmoud Mohammed Abu Nasr , Deputy of the Faculty of Engineering of Graduate Studies and Researches

• The Administration prepare letters to address colleges deputies to send Strategic Research plan and follow-up in order to claim a summary of two copies of the research project proposal, including the name of research , the principal investigator , the participants in the research , purpose and common areas, duration and detailed budget spread over three items.
• The Administration prepare notes to display research projects presented and discussed in the Commission's strategy of scientific research on the Council of Graduate Studies and Research for the approval of conduct and distribution of the amounts allocated to fund this research or Any Other projects.
• Display the scientific and financial reports to the Council of Graduate Studies and Researches and follow up on the research activity.

Joint researches with Egyptian authorities

1- Data preparation for joint researches between the university and the bodies inside Egypt that include researches address and its section that being ,the name of the principal researcher and what has been allocated to research credits.

2- Received proposals from college boards to conduct researches between the university and the bodies inside Egypt and action implementation of the agreements on these researches and display scientific and financial reports to the Council of Graduate Studies and Researches and follow-up research activity.

Excellent research Award

1- The list was amended the rules and conditions for the granting of excellent research awards to the masters of faculty members at Ain ​​Shams University without teachers and which approved by the University Council sessions 06/24/96, 29/04/98, 27/03/2000, and 30/9/2002.

2- The list was amended again to grant excellent research awards to other members of the faculty at Ain Shams University and approved by the University Council session on 25/12/2006.

3- First item from the list was modified based on the decision of the University Council session 27/2/2008 to provide for the "university allocates 70000 c annually for excellent research awards at rate of seven prizes each award (10,000 c)" which is currently under the tenth amendment item on the University Council for approval excellent research Award division to six sectors in accordance with the strategic sectors, namely: -

University Council approved in its meeting on 30/3/2009 to agree to cancel the excellent research Award in university that is created a new publishing awards

Especial Awards

• Memorandum has been prepared on Grant Award (D / Latefa Houti) to the best single research in the field of physics and will be done by assistant professor.
• Memorandum has been prepared on the approval of the award. D / Hussein Abu Leila for the best single research in the field of the physics and will be done by professor.

Published researches award

• Implement the decision of the University Council in its meeting on 27/3/2008 approving the allocation of financial rewards until 50000 £ to the faculty members for publication in distinctive scientific journals provided that to mention the name of the university in research publication was issued and according to rules to be determined by the Special Committee which will be formed to this subject after study of scientific journals.

• University Council decided in its session on 26/05/2008 to approve the conducting special rules with stimulus rules encouraging faculty members to publish their research in international scientific journals of the medical - basic - Engineering - Humanities and Social Sciences sectors and the rewards proposed by the High Commission and in accordance with a set Efficiency Mandate to apply this published research system from the date of approval by the University Council on 27/3/2008 to be consider any other proposals submitted by the members of the Council in this regard.

Ain Shams discretionary Award

The General Administration of Scientific Researches to complete the work of following Ain Shams University discretionary award for the year 2008 in various fields in the enclosed statement.

1. The field of medical science
2. The field of literature and the arts
3. The field of engineering sciences
4. Field of agricultural science
5. Technological Sciences

The administration has to complete the work of the following

1- Display notes for Jean arbitrators on Council of Graduate Studies and Researches to select committees for each field for the approval and then to display on the university council to choose the winner

2- Inform the concerned authorities at the university and public relations to extract appreciation certificate in accordance with the Rules

3- Preparation exchange forms 50 ع. ح and brought to the public administration of the budget for the extraction of professors’ checks winners each year, as well as professors checks, members of the committees of the arbitrators.
