The Faculty of Engineering Team Wins Formula Student Championship; Team Supervisor: “First Place Is the Result of Years of Hard Work”

Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University and supervisor of the Formula Student team, affirmed that the team's first-place victory in the Artificial Intelligence Competition at the international Formula Student championship is the result of years of continuous dedication and sustained development. He noted that Formula Student is among the world's largest and most challenging engineering competitions for university students.

Speaking during a phone interview on Extra News TV's This Morning program, Dr. Abdel Aziz explained that the team secured first place this year in the Artificial Intelligence category for autonomous vehicles, following several previous participations in the competition.

He added that the competition focuses on developing AI-powered autonomous vehicles, where students are responsible for designing and programming a car capable of navigating a racetrack independently, representing an advanced engineering and technological challenge.

Dr. Abdel Aziz emphasized that participation in such prestigious international competitions enables Engineering students to enhance their practical skills and gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies in artificial intelligence and autonomous driving systems. This, he said, strengthens their competitiveness in the global job market and reflects the distinguished international standing of Ain Shams University.
