His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree appointing Prof. Rehab Othman Ahmed Mohamed as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University.

Dr. Rehab Othman is a distinguished academic at the Faculty of Pharmacy, holding the rank of Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy. She previously served as Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and has been acting as Dean since February 2025. Throughout her academic and administrative career, she has contributed to the development of educational programs, the support of student activities, and the enhancement of the quality of the educational process.

Dr. Rehab Osman received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) in 2009 from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, through a joint supervision program with the University of London in the field of pulmonary drug delivery systems. She also earned her Master of Science in Pharmacy in 2002 from Ain Shams University and her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree with highest honors from Cairo University in 1995.

She has a distinguished scientific and research record in the fields of drug targeting, nanotechnology, and modern drug delivery systems, having published more than 50 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals and supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses.

She has also participated in numerous funded research projects and scientific conferences, and has contributed to the peer review of research in prestigious international scientific journals.

In addition to her research activities, she actively participates in academic and administrative work through her membership in several scientific and professional committees and university councils, as well as her contributions to the development of study programs and student activities at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University.
