Ain Shams University organized the activities of the 55th Scout Camp and the 43rd Guide Camp for the university’s male and female rover students, held at the Permanent Scout Camp at the Faculty of Agriculture from February 7 to 14, 2026, with broad participation from students representing various faculties.

The camp was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
A total of 250 male and female rovers, along with the judging panel, participated in the camp, representing the Faculties of Arts, Mass Communication, Al-Alsun (Languages), Girls, Medicine, Agriculture, Education, Specific Education, Engineering, Law, and Science. Participants competed across multiple fields, including spiritual values, scouting, artistic, cultural, scientific, sports, and social activities, as well as values and attitudes.

The camp featured a variety of distinctive activities and events, including:
The Fourth Youth Forum under the theme “Today’s Scout with Tomorrow’s Digital Tools.”
The Hobby Badges Lab, organized in cooperation with the Boy Scouts Association and the Sea Scouts Association.
The “Development Village,” offering diverse sessions aimed at enhancing individual skills.

Maritime Day and a plastic collection campaign from the Nile River in cooperation with the Sea Scouts.
A visit to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 with the participation of male and female rovers.
An exhibition on the history of Egyptian scouting in collaboration with the Egyptian Scout Archive.
A session on the National Safe from Harm Policy in cooperation with the Egyptian Federation for Scouts and Girl Guides.
This camp is part of the activities organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, represented by the General Administration of Youth Welfare – the Scouts and Public Service Activities Department. It reflects the university’s commitment to developing students’ personalities, enhancing their leadership skills, and promoting values of belonging, teamwork, and community service, contributing to preparing a conscious generation capable of assuming responsibility and actively participating in community development.
