Ain Shams University and the "Future of Egypt" Authority for Sustainable Development Sign Cooperation Protocol to Support Innovation and Scientific Research

In a move to enhance scientific and academic cooperation and optimize the use of national resources, Ain Shams University signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development. The protocol aims to establish a comprehensive framework for joint training, research, and technological programs that serve Egypt's sustainable development goals.

The protocol was signed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Engineer Ibrahim Fawzy, representing the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development.

The protocol includes a package of vital areas of cooperation, most notably: the exchange of scientists, researchers and specialists for research, training and consulting purposes, the exchange of technical expertise, the implementation of joint research programs, the identification of scientific and technical problems and the formulation of innovative solutions to them, as well as the organization of seminars, workshops, bilateral conferences and specialized training courses, the exchange of scientific and technical information and documents and the development of technological processes and products.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen affirmed that the signing of this protocol stemmed from the university's belief in the necessity of linking academic research to the actual needs of the country. He pointed out that cooperation with the "Future of Egypt" initiative represented a pivotal step in transforming scientific innovations into tangible realities that serve national projects.

He explained that the university has dedicated all its scientific and human resources to contribute to driving sustainable development through this strategic partnership.

Major General Engineer Ibrahim Fawzy stated that the agreement signed with Ain Shams University primarily aimed to enhance the scientific and technological components of the authority's projects. He emphasized that the agency sought, through this protocol, to benefit from the university's distinguished research expertise and personnel.

He added that the previous phase witnessed a convergence of views on the importance of integrating innovative solutions into production and technical processes to ensure maximum utilization of national resources.

The signing of the protocol was witnessed by Prof. Ghada Farouk Hassan, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Nevin Assem, CEO of the Innovation and Training Sector; Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector; Prof. Walaa Abdel-Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Seham Abdel-Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research; and a delegation from the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development.

This cooperation comes as a strategic step to link academic research with major national projects, contributing to driving development and promoting innovation in various scientific and technological sectors.
