The Academy of Scientific Research announces the start of applications for the PRISM Program to support health research (2026 Cycle)

The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announced, within the framework of implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, the opening of applications for the new cycle of the National Program for Research and Innovation in Health and Biomedical Sciences (PRISM) for 2026, starting from 1 February 2026.

The launch of the program stems from the state’s belief in the importance of transforming scientific research outputs into practical applications that contribute to developing the healthcare system and improving the quality of life of Egyptian citizens.

The program aims to support research and innovation projects that contribute to the development of the healthcare system and accelerate the transformation of laboratory outputs into medical and economic applications with real impact.

Available Funding Tracks:

The program provides distinguished financial support through three specialized tracks:

Track One (Inno-Health): Supporting health innovation and the development of prototypes.

Track Two (CRS): Dedicated to high-quality clinical research (Clinical Research).

Track Three (TRANS-B2B): Supporting translational research from the laboratory to the patient.

National Priority Areas:

In this cycle, the program focuses on addressing major health challenges, with emphasis on:

Oncology.

Obesity and metabolic health.

Infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Digital health technologies, artificial intelligence, and medical technology.
