Faculty of Business opens applications to join the Reviewers’ Board of the “Accounting Thought” Journal in preparation for inclusion in the global Scopus database

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Business announced the opening of applications to join the Reviewers’ Board of the “Accounting Thought” Journal, as part of its strategic plan to qualify the journal for inclusion in the global Scopus database, enhance its research standing, and improve its international ranking.

This announcement comes in implementation of the faculty’s vision declared by Prof. Farid Moharram El-Garahy, Dean of the Faculty, which aims to support national academic journals and consolidate the position of Egyptian scientific research, in line with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030 toward building a knowledge-based economy.

The “Accounting Thought” Journal is a peer-reviewed, specialized scientific journal issued quarterly by the Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University. The journal holds the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) for print (2356-8402) and electronic edition (2682-3128).

The journal also adopts a comprehensive developmental roadmap aimed at upgrading its digital publishing system to comply with the most stringent international standards in scientific publishing.

In this context, the journal has been keen to adopt an integrated electronic peer-review system that not only facilitates procedures but also represents a fundamental requirement to ensure the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and efficiency, standards required by prestigious databases such as Scopus, while providing a professional working environment aligned with the latest global best practices.

On this occasion, the faculty invites faculty staff specialized in accounting, economics, management, and statistics at Faculties of Business in Egyptian universities to contribute to this ambitious academic journey by applying to join the journal’s reviewers’ board.

This step represents a qualitative addition toward enhancing Egyptian intellectual and academic output in the commercial and economic fields at the international level.
