Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen,
President of Ain Shams University, received a high-level delegation from the
University of Exeter, UK, to activate the
Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two universities and to discuss mechanisms for joint cooperation in the fields of education,
scientific research, and
innovation.
At the meeting was attended by Prof. Mohamed Salehien, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Sherweit El Ahmady, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, represented Ain Shams University. From the UK side, Dr. Richard Follett, Vice-Chancellor of the
University of Exeter and Mr. Peter Clack, Partnership Officer.
The meeting addressed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange scientific expertise between Egyptian and British universities, contributing to strengthening academic and research capabilities on both sides and supporting the quality of education and
scientific research.
During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen ,
President of Ain Shams University, welcomed the delegation from the
University of Exeter, emphasizing the university's commitment to strengthening its international partnerships with prestigious global universities. He noted that this collaboration contributes to developing the higher education and
scientific research system, exchanging academic expertise, and raising the efficiency of study
programs in accordance with international standards.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides discussed mechanisms for activating the
Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ain Shams University and the
University of ExeterUniversity of Exeter, particularly regarding the establishment of a distinguished campus for the
University of Exeter within Ain Shams University’s international campus. This aims to support joint academic and research cooperation and enhance the international presence of both universities.
