The President of Ain Shams University and University Leadership Extend Christmas Greetings to Anba Ermia

In line with Ain Shams University’s commitment, as one of Egypt’s most venerable academic institutions, to promoting the values of tolerance and social cohesion, Anba Ermia, General Bishop, Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, and Assistant Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House, received a delegation from Ain Shams University. The delegation was headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and included Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Students. The visit took place at the headquarters of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, accompanied by Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Students Sector, to extend Christmas greetings on the Glorious Christmas celebrations.

During the meeting, President Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen conveyed his sincere congratulations to Anba Ermia and to all Coptic brothers and sisters, affirming Ain Shams University’s pride in participating in national and religious occasions that bring Egyptians together. He also expressed deep appreciation for the enlightening role played by the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, stressing that holidays in Egypt are not merely religious observances, but milestones for renewing the bonds of affection and fraternity that unite the Egyptian people as one indivisible fabric. He noted that such occasions provide an ideal opportunity to demonstrate the strength of cohesion among the various segments of society, wishing Egypt continued stability and prosperity.

For his part, Anba Ermia warmly welcomed the university delegation, commending the gracious initiative that reflects the depth of humane relations. He praised the pioneering role of Ain Shams University, not only as a beacon of education and scientific research, but also as an active contributor to building social awareness and reinforcing the values of citizenship and brotherhood, adding that the visit of leaders from a distinguished academic institution such as Ain Shams University embodies the spirit of goodwill deeply rooted in the nation and affirms that science and faith work hand in hand for the advancement of the Egyptian people.
