The Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University received Dr. Abdel Halim Allam, President of the Egyptian Bar Association and Head of the Arab Lawyers Union, during a high-level academic visit to participate as a member of the examination and evaluation committee for a PhD dissertation entitled “Guarantees for the Enforcement of Administrative Court Judgments.”
He was welcomed by Prof. Yassin El‑Shazly, Dean of the Faculty, who presented the Bar President with the Faculty’s Diamond Jubilee Shield in appreciation of his distinguished professional and legal contributions, and as an affirmation of the strong and longstanding ties between the prestigious academic institution and the Bar Association.
The thesis was attended by a distinguished group of leading legal scholars and faculty members. The examination committee and attendees included Prof. Hossam El‑Ahwany, Professor of Civil Law and former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Sayed Ahmed Mahmoud, Professor of Procedural Law and former Vice Dean; Prof. Mona Ramadan Bateekh, Head of the Public Law Department; and Prof. Ibrahim Mohamed Ali, Professor of Public Law at the Faculty of Law, Menoufia University.
The event was also attended by several heads of centers and units within the faculty. On the sidelines of the visit, Prof. Yassin El-Shazly held a meeting with Bar President Abdel Halim Allam to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between the Faculty of Law and the Egyptian Bar Association, with a focus on serving young lawyers and advancing legal training programs. The Bar President also toured the faculty’s newly developed facilities and lecture halls, commending the significant infrastructural and educational progress witnessed by the Faculty.
It is worth noting that Dr. Abdel Halim Allam is regarded as one of the prominent figures in bar leadership, having progressed steadily through syndicate work since his election as a member of the Alexandria Bar Association in 1993, culminating in his election as President of the Egyptian Bar Association in 2022. His participation in this academic committee highlights his scholarly profile, particularly following his attainment of a PhD in Law from Alexandria University in 2025.
